... this little guy has ISO 3200!

Is this first in compact digicam? If yes, another 1st for Olympus, kudos.

I'm more interested in the Stylus 720SW, a waterproof (to 3m) 7.1 megapixel camera that is also 'shock-proof' (resistant to falls from up to 1.5m). Boasting a maximum ISO of 1600, a large 2.5-inch screen and a 3x optical zoom, the 720SW is available in an array of colours; Dusky Pink, Polar Blue and Steel Silver.

With this cam, i don't have to worry about me cam go swimming in the washing machine again.

It's interesting to see the P&S evolve into 3 distinct lines ... huge considering Oly's intention to focus on DSLRs : the SP-xxx, Mju, FE.

It'll be interesting to see how the mju810 fares against the high ISO king, being Fuji's F10/11. It's one thing to display a high ISO value for selection & quite another to see a good noise reduction engine at work. Time will tell ... in the absence of samples.

I'm hoping for a responsive, E-system accessory compatible P&S model from Olympus along the lines of the C7070, I wonder if that'll appear in the successor to SP350 or the SP700. But that's asking for too much too soon :-)

Ya, those compact digicams are getting better and better. From waterproof to shockproof, ISO 3200 etc. So, it's time to get one !

oly's design dept has finally awaken....imo, 720SW has the best
design in all oly compact range, just after the AZ series...i'm
also eyeing on it....not sure what's the price like....and if only the
screen resolution is the same as mju 810, it will be perfect !

The Water (3 meters waterproof), Dust and Shock-Resistant
of the mju 720SW body is a winner imho.

Olympus SG is launching three different model of Mju today,
the Mju 810, Mju 700 and the Mju 720SW, we should be able to
see them at the display shelve sometime end of this month or
early next month.

Lets hope the new Mju's pricing are able to hit the sweet spot
like it's specifications.

Check the disc from the product launch, and saw a small video clip on how they tested the 720SW's shock proof. They dropped it from about 2 meter - ouch! and you'll be amazed and convinced that this camera is rugged enough for your 1-year old kid.

Hope to see some pictures taken with these 3 new Mju series soon.

Don't worry, those prices are RCP prices and they are all cleared for press release.
