Is me again..... talking about flash again.

I has been looking around for a slave trigger for quite a while. So one day I get to know about this product from the internet.

The website is HERE

It is just a wireless slave trigger, NO TTL or AUTO sync.

Some pictures below. It works with Oly though.

This is a quick and dirty way to get a flash trigger. But the range is not very long, unlike those made by Bowens (Pulsar) but for home studio use, this is suffice. Having wireless triggers is a blessing. I think Ruby Photo sells a similar brand too.

Hello Selamatlzh,

That's a really impressive piece of work for the Olympus community. The fact that you've tested the setup on your Olympus gear has surely removed any compatibility doubts I have about this good deal product.

Q1: What is the fastest wireless flash sync speed achievable; if I recall correctly, the safe flash wired sync speed is 1/180s with Oly flashes.

Q2: Can I confirm that you're able to trigger 3 flashes simultaneously based on the interesting sample taken ?

Q3: To better understand your setup, are all flashes set to expose in manual ? Does multi flash in AUTO mode work ?

Lastly ...

It would be wonderful if I could include your technical review as part of Mytikas knowledge base. Your permission sought please :-)

Thanks !

Cheers,

Q1. I am not sure but I am assuming 1/180s. I will confirm when I have time.

Q2. Yes, the photos are live sample. I tested on FL50, Metz44 and Metz54

Q3. The sample shots was taken in manual, I believe AUTO should work. Auto as in predefined ISO, ZOOM and Aperuture settings.

Let me do more live TEST then I will contribute to the knowledgebase, I think this is not good enough.

Hello Selamatlzh,

Thanks for the clarifications. My wired triggering of Metz flash in AUTO supports up to 1/250s on my E1, any faster and vignetting occurs.

Appreciate the upping of a higher standard knowledge base article :-)

Cheers,
